Disney Princesses, Deconstructed

We steered all young girl princess fascinations towards the Amazonian Princess.  Contemplating writing a children book series w/ a rogue princess in the lead.

Fuck you Belle is smart and she also fought shit.

I kind of really hate this- it’s not Disney’s fault that these fictional characters were created when women had literally no rights whatsoever, and fairytales like these were either pure fantastical ‘a prince will save her’, or lessons in getting on with your shitty woman’s life, despite the many obstacles you’ll face.
The fairytales of yore are horribly sexist- Disney atleast tried to make the female characters in them vaguely less pathetic than they are in the original stories.
