That is… unbelievably rude? Like, not only are you basically declaring “I DO NOT CARE WHAT YOU SAID” to me (as I get a notification), you’ve also now got “reblogged from frezned”…
Still rude! Especially if the person you’re reblogging it from disagrees with the image.
I guess it’s acceptable to delete “THIS” and “OMG” and “Dying!” stuff? It’s almost a faux pas to put that up in the first place. But if it’s an actual thought, you use the trick where you follow up the chain and reblog from someone who didn’t put that commentary.
If the OP posted an image with some commentary, and you just think it’s a pretty image, still don’t reblog it from them! It’s still rude! Save the image and reblog it as your own thing. Because the OP’s post is the image AND the commentary.
TL;DR deleting commentary is really rude.
