The Festival of San Fermin, 2009 - The Big Picture - Boston.com (OP:mchuster/RB:koneja) Ugh fucking bullfighting (and the running of the bulls crap) really angers me. I know I’m hardly a vegetarian but I don’t agree with fox hunting, badger baiting, cock fighting, dog fighting, etc, but those things are banned. Not allowed. Being a part of the European Union, I really don’t understand why, if the UK has banned all this shit (officially at least) that the rest of Europe doesn’t ban it too. I’d argue that bullfighting is far worse than fox hunting. Perhaps it’s not been banned (or atleast phased out) because bullfighting brings in more money and is more accessible to ‘the proles’ and tourists than fox hunting ever was/is? Killing animals for a purpose (food, clothing etc) is ok to me. Killing or hurting animals just for the fun and spectacle of hurting and killing them is not ok. View high resolution
